PSHE
Subject Leader: Mrs L Barton
At Hermitage Primary School our long term vision for PSHE is
To provide all children with the knowledge, understanding, attitudes, values and skills they need in order to reach their potential as individuals within a community.
To encourage all children to recognise their own worth, work well with others and become increasingly responsible for their own learning.
To enable children to tackle spiritual, moral and cultural issues that are part of growing up.
Aims
For children to reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially.
For children to understand and respect our common humanity; diversity and differences so that they can go on to form effective, fulfilling relationships that are an essential part of life and learning.
We have a bespoke scheme which includes Jigsaw units, No Outsiders and the KiVa anti-bullying units.
