Keeping Safe
Safeguarding is our number one priority, which may seems odd at first considering we are a school with a strong focus on teaching and learning. However, for learning to take place, pupils need to be safe and feel safe. We all work extremely hard to ensure that school is a safe place for everyone and that everyone feels safe and ready to learn.
But what do we mean by 'safeguarding'? - Safeguarding refers to the process of protecting children (and adults) to provide safe and effective care. This includes all procedures designed to prevent harm to a child.
The Parent Council have been working on a Parents' Guide to Safeguaring which we will be uploaded here soon.
One part of the guide is a diagram, see below, which shows the elements covered by the word 'Safeguarding'.
