Headteacher Welcome

Mrs H. Ross

I really enjoy being head teacher at Hermitage Primary School.  The pupils and families are friendly and welcoming.  The staff are extremely dedicated and always have the pupils' best interests at heart.  Hermitage Primary School is a great place to learn and we are always looking at ways of making learning fun.

Here’s a little bit of background about me.

I started work at an inner city school in Manchester where I taught Year 4.  After 3 years, I moved to a school near Warrington where I taught Year 5 and was in charge of data and assessment.  After 3 years, I took on the role of Key Stage 2 leader at a school near Chester.  I stayed at this school for 11 years and taught every age group.  For the last 4 years, I was deputy Headteacher.  I have been head teacher at Hermitage Primary School since September 2015.

I have two children and I love spending time with my family.  At weekends, some of our favourite activities are cycling in Delamere forest, baking cakes, going to the park or watching a film together.  During summer holidays, we like to get away with our tent and go camping.

I am very lucky and proud to be the Headteacher at Hermitage Primary School and I will keep you updated about the school through newsletters and our Facebook page.

Please email or pop into school if you have any questions or would like to discuss any aspect of your child’s education.
